Whatever happend to compassion????

Have you ever had to deal with a mean teacher, or maybe a really gruff nurse? These are two occupations that come to my mind when I think about professions that require some gentleness, kindness, patience, and compassion. With my son having severe asthma I have dealt with a lot of nurses and doctors, and every time we get a nurse that acts like she is doing us some big favor or that she has better things to do than taking care of her patients, I think to myself " why in the world did they ever become a nurse! As a nurse your job is to help people who need it. If you don't like people then PLEASE don't work in a profession that requires you to be around them and have to interact with them. It is so frustrating to watch and sometimes it takes everything I have to hold my tongue, when a nurse acts like it is so much work to get up off her chair at the nurses station and see to my sons needs. Now I realize that not all nurses are like this. We have had quite a few that we really liked and have gotten to know. All I am saying is that if you do not like people or taking care of them, then please find something else to do with your life.

  1. Couldn't agree with you more.

I am following from the Facebook Bloggin Social Media Chat. If you want to check out Linky followers, like I mentioned over on the Facebook post, you can find the widget on my blog, others are starting to follow with this now as GFC is leaving for non blogger blogs and possibly for blogger blogs in the future.

  2. Same goes for waiters and waitresses that act like waiting on you is some big imposition! But you can just not leave them a tip, whereas, with a nurse or teacher, you don't have that option. Just stopping in on the FB group hop! Hope you had a great weekend!
